Advantages and structural solution
Unlike heavy concrete structures, the metal system has a lower weight while offering higher seismic resistance and the ability to adapt to soil settlement. The project uses a structure with a length of 15 m, a span of 4.67 m, and a rise of 2.82 m. The thickness of S235 grade steel is 4.5 mm, which allows it to withstand high embankment pressure and intensive traffic loads.
Speed and ease of installation
The structure consists of individual corrugated steel sheets of varying lengths, which are bolted together directly on site. This enables delivery to the site using a standard truck (without special permits) and allows installation to be carried out manually or with a light crane. This approach reduces construction time several times compared to precast reinforced concrete solutions.
Environmental impact
The use of a corrugated metal structure helps to preserve the natural landscape and the hydrological regime of the stream as much as possible. Due to the high installation speed and the absence of “wet” processes (such as concrete works), pollution of the surrounding area and disturbance of the local ecosystem during construction are minimized.
Technologies
The structure material is corrugated steel with full hot-dip galvanization of all components. The specialized protective layer is chemically inert to water, ensuring no harmful emissions into the environment throughout the entire service life and providing long-term durability of the structure in humid conditions.
