Fodder table barrier

“Ukrainian factory of steel products” ltd produces equipment that meets all the requirements of European requirements and allows to provide a technological scheme of different directions (without binding, tied hold) of the modern dairy and animal farms.  The stylish equipment is made of galvanized steel, which provides reliable corrosion protection.  Fixing elements are designed taking into account the versatility of assembling the entire design.

At the same time, you can choose the type of fence of the feed table:

  • Adjustable beam – a simple, cheap and reliable solution,
  • Hedlock – universal equipment for the stern table, which allows to fix the head of the animal for the various sanitary procedures.

When using all kinds of loose-way housing method of cattle, the fodder table barrier is necessary. The main purpose of these barriers is to exclude penetration of animals onto the fodder table, but at the same time, to provide them with unrestricted access to their fodder. Besides this main purpose some parts of barrier carry out fixing function of animals near fodder table, reduce fodder spreading and loss.

There are various types of fodder table barrier:
  • Controlled beam – is an above-shoulder stopper in shape of round steel pipe which is fixed on upright frames on certain height from the surface on which the animal stands;
  • Headlock – type of fodder table barrier is self-fixing mechanism;
  • Diagonal arrays– Fodder table barriers with diagonal fodder arrays which are used mainly for young cattle, when it is not necessary to rigidly fix the structure.

The simplest fodder table barrier is an above-shoulder stopper in shape of round steel pipe which is fixed on upright frames on certain height from the surface on which the animal stands.

To prevent animals shoulder rubbing against beam during feeding, it is pull out in the direction of fodder table using auxiliary supporting arms or special curved configuration of beam.

One of the important elements of the equipment of the cattle farms, which provides the movement of animals from the section to the milking hall and back, for pasture, walking, etc., there are fence gates.  They must be strong enough to withstand the pressure exerted on them by cows weighing 600-700 kg, preventing the mixing of technological groups and not injuring animals in the process of racing.

The basic requirements for a gate are the strength and reliability of fixing in closed and open positions.  At the same time, the gates should be opened easily and quickly by the personnel, but not open under the influence of animals.

Depending on the customer’s requirements, the telescopic gates can be of different shapes and configurations.  All designs are made of high quality material and are covered with zinc by hot dip galvanizing, which avoids the appearance of premature corrosion of the metal and prolongs its service life.

Diagonal arrays

Fodder table barriers with diagonal fodder arrays are used for calves and cattle, also diagonal or Z-shaped fodder arrays are used when fixation is not needed. They are simple and effectively prevent penetration of animals onto fodder table, reduce scattering and loss of fodder. This type of solution can be used also in cowshed. The size of diagonal cells varies depending of cattle age groups.
